ChinaSatcom and Skylogic create a two-way broadband network to connect businesses, trade and government agencies

Skylogic, the broadband affiliate of Eutelsat, one of the world’s leading satellite operators, and the Chinese leading telecommunications operator ChinaSatcom today signed an historic partnership agreement for two-way satellite communications between China and Italy for businesses, government agencies and other users in both countries.

Skylogic and UDcast to Provide Advanced VPN Solution for Satellite Networks.

UDcast will present in Satexpo 2004 (Pad: F Stand: B2-B6, C1-C5), a Skylogic-approved VPN solution, based on the UDgateway-VPN appliance.

NetHope is a collaborative organisation formed by the world’s largest humanitarian aid organisations that provides IT equipment and solutions in countries where its members execute their programmes and projects.

As part of its strategy to meet demand for broadband from corporate clients throughout the UK and continental Europe, BT Broadcast Services (BTBS), the broadcast and media solutions arm of BT, has selected Eutelsat’s D-STAR service to complement its existing capabilities for two-way broadband.

BTBS' "Satellite Broadband Enterprise" service will use
D-STAR to provide IP connectivity to corporate sites at high bit rates up to 2Mbps downstream and 1Mbps upstream, giving their corporate customers a competitive edge even where they are out of reach of terrestrial broadband options.

Eutelsat and Broadservices to provide satellite broadband access for the Portsmouth (UK) and Gijon (Spain) stages of the race

Eutelsat, Europe’s leading satellite operator, and Broadservices, that provides IP connectivity, are together partnering the 35th The Solitaire Afflelou Le Figaro race, which will set off from Caen on 19 July, stopping at Portsmouth (UK), Saint-Gilles Croix de Vie (France), and Gijon (Spain). The finish is scheduled on 15 August in Quiberon (France). For the three to four day stopovers in Portsmouth and Gijon, Eutelsat and Broadservices will deploy and operate a satellite-delivered broadband Wi-Fi and local cable network.
