Linkstar

LinkStar is ViaSat's standards-based two-way broadband satellite communications system for Internet Protocol (IP) over Satellite. With its long time presence on the market, Linkstar is a solid and very reliable solution for service providers, ISPs, and corporate networks.

Since its introduction, LinkStar VSATs have been built on a foundation of open standard DVB technology, including a DVB-S forward and DVB-RCS return link.

LinkStar combines broadband access and a multi-frequency Time Division Multiple Access (TDMA) return channel to satisfy bandwidth-intensive applications using IP data over existing C- and Ku-band satellites.

The LinkStar Very Small Aperture Terminal (VSAT) technology offers a low-cost terminal, and broadband connectivity and bandwidth efficiency in a scalable, high performance IP system.
